In 2002, Nicole and Danielle, worked together in a self-contained classroom with children diagnosed with Autism and other disabilities. Together, they began to create materials needed for their students to address learning difficulties across subjects and manage socially significant behaviors.

Danielle has been a special education teacher for 30 years. Her experience includes teaching in a public school system, private accredited school and in both self-contained and inclusive classrooms. Over the past 10 (of the 30) years, Danielle has served as a Coordinator of Special Education for a large school district in Connecticut. She attained her Bachelors of Arts, Masters and 092 Administrative degrees over the course of her career. Danielle is driven to make a difference in the lives of all children by providing whole child educational opportunities and by embracing the race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and ability differences that make us all unique and special!
Nicole worked in the special education field for 18 years. During that time she earned her Master’s in Special Education, and certificates in Autism Spectrum Disorders and Applied Behavior Analysis. She then pursued her career in behavior, working as a consultant for in-home supports, group homes and schools for 15 years. She now offers her parent perspective on the joys and challenges of having a child with special needs, while creating resources that are useful at home and in the classroom.
